Gordon Reigstad
Gordon Reigstad is a structural engineer with over four decades of experience designing complex buildings across the U.S. Known for his deep technical expertise and practical mindset, Gordon spent years wrestling with one persistent problem: the complications caused by traditional pour strips. From delayed schedules to awkward detailing and field issues, he saw firsthand how this “necessary evil” created unnecessary friction between engineers, contractors, and owners. Determined to find a better way, Gordon began developing a solution that would eliminate the compromises pour strips forced on projects — without sacrificing structural performance.
That pursuit led to the creation of PS=Ø, a patented system that redefines how restraint-to-shortening is handled in concrete structures. Backed by 45 years of engineering knowledge, PS=Ø is more than a product — it’s a smarter approach to movement and constructability. Today, Gordon continues to lead innovation at PS=Ø, helping the industry move beyond outdated methods and into a future of faster, safer, and higher-quality construction.
